Background
One of our satisfied clients referred our services to a European management consultancy based in Nairobi. Our openness to collaborate with different players in the ecosystem soon led to the opportunity to support a tech-enabled growth-stage food distributor in East Africa.
Problem
At pre-series B, this fast-growing startup was at an inflection point which required outsourcing key elements of the fundraising process to experts. Being an established, scaling business, they needed a comprehensive approach that could turn a vast quantity of data and material into an impactful investor deck worthy of a $15M funding round.
Action
AFI took the lead on the deck while facilitating clear lines of communication between our startup client, our corporate client, and our design partner as we workshopped this opportunity.
Result
A fully-committed $15M raise (debt and equity) paved the way for further growth and scale in the startup client’s journey. A big raise, but just a fraction of the value the startup is now able to bring to farmers and their communities in East Africa.

Are investor introductions included in the services?
No. However, our premium solutions empower clients to optimise their investor outreach and build networks organically.
How much do the services cost?
Pricing is indicative and based on various factors ie. the final number of slides (Deck Lab) for review. Final pricing is agreed upon via a written proposal after the discovery call.
Must I be a part of an incubator/accelerator cohort in order to engage?
Not required. Any tech founder/CEO can reach out. All you need is a deck or company data points. Please see About page for verticals of primary interest.
