Background

The CEO of a Lagos-based FinTech startup initially reached out via LinkedIn prior to a 30-minute discovery call.

Problem

While Wave Africa’s co-founding duo brought significant product and engineering experience, they needed a collaborator who could bring fundraising expertise to the table and improve their first investor deck. Africa’s FinTech market is a crowded one, and the deck wasn’t communicating how the team was going to make a splash.

Pitch Check - Elevating Student Founder Fit

After delivering a presentation at the Rome Business School Nigeria, the AFI Director was approached by a student founder seeking to optimise his PropTech’s pitch ahead of an upcoming pitch competition.

Problem

Zibaah’s marketplace solution is addressing gaps in transparency and accessibility in Nigeria’s real estate sector. Despite being a second-time founder, Sunday Moses was facing time and resource constraints which only added to the urgency of the situation.

Amitruck, a rapidly growing digital logistics provider, had a fast-approaching seed round. Facing some stringent due diligence requirements, typical in a more conservative funding market, they needed to pull together a number of moving parts to assemble an accurate snapshot of their company for investors.

Problem

Every company has a different investor portfolio, and it has different risks, challenges, and questions potential investors need answered. Pricing is indicative and based on various factors ie. the final number of slides (Deck Lab) for review. Final pricing is agreed upon via a written proposal after the discovery call.
